Holi, the Indian festival of colour and change is upon us.
I have been eagerly awaiting Holi since I first saw it in Outsourced (2006) – the movie which prepared me for my stay in India. It only covered a small percentage of the differences, but otherwise I haven’t had too many surprises so far.
In preparation, I went and got Rs 100 worth of coloured powders and water colour to give me an arsenal for the celebrations. And water balloons. 100 of them.

I shall report back after I’m drenched and colourful – I noticed some of the kids in my area started already. Better go start filling those balloons.
